When I welcomed my fourth baby, Alex was an absolute gift during my postpartum period. She has an incredible ability to see a need and immediately step in to fill it without ever being asked. Whether it was folding laundry, doing dishes, or taking care of other light household tasks, she took initiative in a way that lifted such a huge weight off my shoulders. Because of her support, I was truly able to sit back, relax, and soak in those precious newborn moments instead of worrying about everything around me. Her presence was calm, helpful, and genuinely caring, and she made my postpartum experience so much more peaceful and supported. I couldn’t recommend her more highly as a postpartum doula.” -Erica

Alex is a Nashville native, living with her high school sweetheart and husband of twelve years. Together they have six children. Her youngest was born in January 2025. Alex’s love for babies started at a young age, being the oldest of four, and babysitting, and this passion led her to teach in an infant classroom at a preschool early in her career. For years, She also ran a successful in- home daycare in Murfreesboro, TN, where she provided a nurturing environment for children while working closely with their families. She eventually chose to pause her daycare business to homeschool her children, allowing her to focus on their education and development at home.

She hired a birth doula in 2017 upon the birth of her third baby, and there began a love for all things birth and postpartum. She felt empowered and supported, and knew that supporting other mama’s in such a sacred and vulnerable time, had become a passion she longed to fulfill. She is currently working through her postpartum doula certification with Harbor Birth Institute and firmly believes that this is one of the most rewarding jobs she could ever do. Supporting mothers and families during such a transformative time has deepened her sense of purpose and fulfillment. As a mom of six, she brings both professional and personal experience to her work, understanding firsthand the joys and challenges of the postpartum season.

When she’s not working, she enjoys hiking with her husband and kids, sipping coffee by her fireplace, and eating chips and salsa with her friends. She enjoys learning about holistic practices, and caring for her growing collection of house plants.

“Alex started helping us when our daughter was just a few weeks old. Alex has done overnight shifts and day shifts for us. She has been an absolute blessing for our family. We could not have made it through the newborn phase without her help and support. Alex is always on time and prepared to start helping when she arrives. She has helped with washing bottles and pump parts, baby laundry, and just general tidying up of all the baby things. Our daughter had really bad reflux as a newborn along with difficulty feeding, and sleeping on her back was very hard for her. Alex was amazing at caring for her with all of her issues. She was incredibly attentive to her needs and kept detailed notes throughout her shift.

Alex is an excellent doula and we have been so lucky and thankful to have her help caring for our daughter. We love her!!!!” -Meghan
