Alex is a Nashville native, living with her highschool sweetheart and husband of twelve years. Together they have five kids, Lyla (10), Kylie (9), Lainey (7), Asher (5), Heidi (3), and they have number six (Wilder, due in January 2025), on the way. Alex’s love for babies started at a young age, being the oldest of four, and babysitting, and this passion led her to teach in an infant classroom at a preschool early in her career. For four years, She also ran a successful in- home daycare in Murfreesboro, TN, where she provided a nurturing environment for children while working closely with their families. She eventually chose to pause her daycare business to homeschool her children, allowing her to focus on their education and development at home.
She hired a birth doula in 2017 upon the birth of her third baby, and there began a love for all things birth and postpartum. She felt empowered and supported, and knew that supporting other mama’s in such a sacred and vulnerable time, had become a passion she longed to fulfill. She is currently working through her postpartum doula certification with Harbor Birth Institute and firmly believes that this is one of the most rewarding jobs she could ever do. Supporting mothers and families during such a transformative time has deepened her sense of purpose and fulfillment. As a mom of five, she brings both professional and personal experience to her work, understanding firsthand the joys and challenges of the postpartum season.
When she’s not working, she enjoys hiking with her husband and kids, sipping coffee by her fireplace, and eating chips and salsa with her friends. She enjoys learning about holistic practices, and caring for her growing collection of house plants. She and her family attend church in Murfreesboro, TN, where their faith plays a central role in their lives.
