POSTPARTUM DOULA

The first hours and days when returning home from the hospital, birth center, or recovering from a home birth can feel like stepping into the great unknown. While friends and extended family may offer support, it’s often difficult for them to provide the level of continuous care and focused service you will want and need. Having a postpartum doula fully dedicated to helping meet your family’s needs can provide a level of care that will give you the peace of mind and space you will desire when recovering and bonding with your new baby. We provide that essential support during this transition.

Our doulas work with you to create a customized postpartum care plan. We help you think through the important questions prior to labor to design a care plan that fits your needs after birth. This creates an intentional, peaceful, and enjoyable time for the whole family during the critical (and sometimes stressful) postpartum transition. Developing a schedule for the shifts that will work best for your family, our postpartum doulas provide day and evening support with love and your needs at the top of the list. Our doulas have experience with multiples, special needs, baby wearing, attachment parenting, breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, exclusive pumping, cloth diapering, and more. Our postpartum doulas are experts in catering to you and your baby’s specific needs, preferences, and your parenting style. Together with your doula, you and your partner can decide if you would like support for one day, several days or perhaps for a few weeks. We even provide overnight care.
