Kathie Sonner is a birth doula and wellness advocate who moved from Southern California to Nashville in 2020. She’s a proud mom to three daughters and a niece, and recently became a grandmother to baby Shiloh, who was born gently in a birth pool in July 2024. Kathie had the profound honor of serving as her daughter’s birth doula, a life-changing experience that deepened her love of birth work and commitment to supporting families through childbirth.

Kathie became a Birth Doula in 2023 and is Certified through Dona International. She is experienced in home birth, hospital birth and is also O.R. Certified to attend a C-section when the facility allows it.

What is at the heart of her work is to guide both mothers & fathers to feel seen, heard, and empowered, leaving their birth experience with cherished and joyful memories. With sincerity, she often says, “I don’t care how you give birth—as long as you feel honored, supported, and walk away in awe of your story.”

Kathie enjoys a simple, active lifestyle—she loves morning sunshine, hiking, walking, taking her dog Ranger to the river, practicing hot yoga, and traveling whenever she gets the chance. She’s passionate about holistic healing and strongly believes in the importance of informed consent in all medical decisions.
