What clients have said….
“This was my second birth but first with a doula. After an emergency c section with my first, and knowing I was attempting for a VBAC, I felt I needed more support and advocacy for my second time. I felt well prepared and super informed during my prenatal visits with my doula providing so much knowledge, resources, and support during the process as well as getting my body ready and baby ready for the best possible option of a VBAC. I would recommend everyone to use a doula no matter what birth plan and think it should be a standard to have a doula for labor and delivery. I am so grateful for the encouragement and partnership of Judith Ann during labor and delivery with the medical staff as well as me and my husband - she was truly an angel for us!- Kiera W.
”Judith Ann was absolutely amazing. She was the perfect fit for our birth experience. Her knowledge, wisdom, kindness, guidance and expertise were all so needed during our birth. We don't think we could've done things without her. We are so grateful for her being a part of one of the best and most fulfilling days of our lives.”- Whitney H.
”Our doula made such a huge difference in our birth experience. I felt so much peace and confidence in looking over to see my husband and doula chatting through options when I wasn’t in a space to think much for myself. Our doula provided such great information when we asked, and consistent and helpful physical, verbal and emotional support. She was an integral part of our birth experience. I truly hope she’ll be available for the births of any future babies we may have. I can’t recommend Judith Ann highly enough!”- A.H.
”Judith Ann was there every step of the way for me and my husband. The minute my water broke, she was in contact with us and was so supportive through labor, delivery and even postpartum. I experienced some delivery complications and she was has been a great resource through that. Judith Ann is an asset to her profession and she will be our doula for all our future pregnancies! Her compassion and knowledge made was extremely helpful to not only me, but also to my husband.”-Shellie B.
Judith Ann grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, in a medical family & with the belief that every birth is beautiful because life is beautiful. After dealing with fertility issues & miscarriages, she and her husband went on to have four children; her first via cesarean section, followed by three VBACs. After personally experiencing birth trauma and learning about doula work, she felt called to be a doula. Her drive in this was to support women and families, so that they may feel prepared and confident about giving birth, have a birth experience that is happy and healthy, and to enjoy a smooth transition to parenthood.
Judith Ann has attended births in four different states since 2009, & accomplished her DONA certification in 2012. Judith Ann is experienced and comfortable working with women and families who have a variety of birth preferences and experiences. Judith Ann has supported women and families at home and in hospitals, with doctors and with midwives, and with or without pain medication and other interventions. She also has experience supporting women who desire a VBAC, and seeks to offer support that is specifically tailored to the mother's and family's wants and needs.
Aside from her work as a doula, Judith Ann loves spending time with her family and church. She enjoys reading & writing, the beach, and hosting gatherings with friends.
