Judith Ann Stubblefield
Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator & Body Ready Method Pro
Judith Ann grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, in a medical family and with the belief that every birth is beautiful because life is beautiful. After dealing with fertility issues and miscarriages, she and her husband went on to have four children; her first via cesarean section, followed by three VBACs. After personally experiencing birth trauma and learning about doula work, she felt called to be a doula. Her drive in this was to support women and families, so that they may feel prepared and confident about giving birth, have a birth experience that is happy and healthy, and to enjoy a smooth transition to parenthood.
Judith Ann has attended births in four different states since 2009 and accomplished her DONA certification in 2012. Judith Ann is experienced and comfortable working with women and families who have a variety of birth preferences and experiences. Judith Ann has supported women and families at home and in hospitals, with doctors and with midwives, and with or without pain medication and other interventions. She also has experience supporting women who desire a VBAC and seeks to offer support that is specifically tailored to the mother's and family's wants and needs.
Aside from her work as a doula, Judith Ann loves spending time with her family and church. She enjoys reading and writing, the beach, and hosting gatherings with friends.

What clients have said….
“I cannot say enough about how wonderful Judith Ann is! She has attended two of my births (both VBACs), one at the hospital and one at home! She is so adaptable, kind, professional yet personal and for sure the most knowledgeable doula I have encountered. Her years of experience combined with her calming yet joyful presence bring such a peace and confidence to any birth space. She is like a light in every birth setting! She has always been incredibly supportive of my diverse and very customized birth wishes. Her presence and support have given me the confidence to advocate for what I was hoping my birth could be and it was a crucial piece to the puzzle in allowing me to experience births more amazing than I knew possible! Judith Ann brings a myriad of encouragement, prayers, support and love to every birth she attends, as well as so much knowledge and insight to each mother that she is supporting based on their diverse and individual backgrounds. I have also had the privilege of attending births with Judith Ann during my training to be a midwife. I am so thankful for her insight, support and dedication to train women in the next generation of holistic, woman-centered birthing!… Judith Ann knows when to say something encouraging and when to allow silence to take the lead, when to help dad get in on the support, when to apply comfort measures and when to hold space; the perfect balance of support and confidence…." -Aleigh S.
Where do I even begin? Judith Ann was pivotal to my birth experience. So much so, that she was in the top 3 people we first told when we learned we were pregnant with our second child because I couldn’t fathom having another without her there and wanted to make sure she marked her calendar! I have such positive things to say about my labor and birth, I have zero trauma and it was a truly an amazing experience - I can honestly say that a big part of that was having Judith Ann as our Doula…She wasn’t only there for me, she was there for my husband helping us both understand the things happening in the room. The amount of comfort her presence gave me in a room full of strangers is unmatched. I knew I could look at her and trust that she knew my birth plan and the things I wanted out of my birth experience and she always advocated for me, which gave me the strength to focus on my labor. She not only guided us through those events but stayed on the journey with me through postpartum and became a friend I could confide in and go to for recommendations...” -Courtney L.
“Working with Judith Ann through the Body Ready Method® made all the difference in my second birth. Unlike my first, which required an induction, I was able to go into spontaneous labor and have the unmedicated birth I had hoped for. Judith Ann’s guidance helped me feel strong, aligned, and truly prepared. She brought a beautiful balance of professionalism and compassion, creating a space where I felt seen, cared for, and encouraged at every step. Thanks to her support, not only was my birth experience empowering, but postpartum recovery was also smooth and steady. I’m so grateful for how she helped me trust and work with my body this time around.” -Lyndsay V.
