Rebecca Mills Norris is a trained and experienced Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. She has been supporting families for over 20 years, first as a babysitter and then as a nanny, before discovering her passion for postpartum support after having her own children. With her expansive knowledge of baby and parenting topics, Rebecca excels at helping families sift through the overwhelming options to refine and implement their own unique parenting style. Clients value her warm presence, calm reassurance, and unbiased support of all types of families.
Rebecca completed her BBA in Human Resource Management at the University of Mississippi and worked in the corporate world for 3 years before giving birth to her first son in 2009. After her difficult birth and postpartum experience, Rebecca wanted to support other pregnant and birthing families. She attended birth doula training, but those plans were put on hold with the birth of her identical twin boys in 2011. With three children under the age of 3, she learned firsthand the importance of having a strong support system during the postpartum period. In late 2012, at the suggestion of a local midwife, Rebecca attended her first Postpartum Doula training and realized that this was the work she was meant to do. She spent the next two years serving as a postpartum resource in her community and supporting friends in Tennessee, Michigan, and Alabama as they gave birth to their own children, before officially launching her career as a professional Postpartum Doula in 2015.
Previously Rebecca served three years on the Executive Board of MOMS Club of Hendersonville Area, a non-profit service organization for mothers at home with their young children, connecting them with a support network and an opportunity to give back to their community. She lives in the Nashville suburb of Hendersonville with her family. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys reading historical fiction, watching Oscar-nominated films, and finding new Instant Pot recipes on Pinterest.
“I really wouldn’t have been okay with my newborn and preschooler by myself, and thanks to Rebecca, I was much more than okay. I was able to spend some quality time with my 3 year old, got great advice on multiple topics I was worrying or wondering about, and my home was better when Rebecca left, than it was when she arrived each week. Rebecca is awesome, and I am so happy with how this time turned out!”

“Rebecca’s postpartum doula services were an invaluable help to my family after the birth of our third daughter. She eased the transition and made sure all of us were fed and well taken care of during those first few weeks at home. She helped with everything!! From food preparation and laundry, to sibling support and lactation advice, her warm presence allowed us to focus on bonding with our new family member while she took care of the rest. The support she gave us is something we will forever be grateful for.”
