Sarah is a wife and mother to three little ones. She was born and raised in Nashville, TN, moved away for school to Chattanooga, TN and then Atlanta, GA while her husband attended chiropractic school, and has now happily returned to Nashville.
Her passion for helping mamas through the childbirth experience stemmed from a tough first birth that ended in a C-Section. When she became pregnant with her second child, she decided to fight for a VBAC. During the education process and preparation for her VBAC, her eyes were opened to the pitfalls of childbirth, especially her own, when there is a lack of education, communication, preparation, and advocacy. Her desire is to walk with parents through the entire process of childbirth and help them feel prepared, supported, and ultimately have peace with whatever outcome they have.
She has walked with many families through birth, she has personally experienced labor, C-sections, and an attempted VBAC and she has a vast understanding of all the different aspects and potential outcomes of childbirth. She is especially passionate about helping first time mamas and VBAC mamas in their birth experience, but loves walking with all types of families in claiming power and peace over their births.
She would be honored to be a part of your journey!
What clients have said…
“My husband and I both can’t imagine going through late pregnancy and birth without Sarah. Her 1:1 sessions, her availability, her immense support at the hospital for ~12 hours, AND her postpartum visit truly felt above and beyond. What a blessing Sarah has been to us and our little family. I’ll never forget during my hours of pushing, hearing Sarah say “the only way out is through.” As believers, we were so thankful to have someone advocate for us and pray with us during such a life changing event. It truly does take a village, and we’re so thankful Sarah was a part of ours as we welcomed our daughter.” -Amy P.
“I didn’t even realize how much I would need a doula, and I’m SO glad I chose Sarah!! Seriously the most knowledgeable and supportive doula ever. She gave me personal birth classes, helped me make a birth plan, and the most amazing thing was just her incredible guidance and support in the birth room. When the doctors brought up a couple medical interventions I’d never heard of, Sarah was there to explain them to me and help me make a great decision. She also was constantly applying counter pressure during my contractions or guiding labor poses - and I feel like it majorly took the pressure off my of husband because then he and I could just bond! Sarah is peaceful, supportive of your birth choices, and really knows her stuff. I recommend her to everyone thinking about getting a doula.” -Sarah M.
