Stacey Pugh
Postpartum Doula
Stacey has lived in the Middle Tennessee area for the majority of her life. Her passion for working with children was evident early in life, and as a homeschool student she was able to explore that passion in a variety of ways. She started by helping in the nursery at her church, attended various babysitting and first aid classes through her homeschool group, and started babysitting in her neighborhood at just 10 years old. That passion continued through life as she became a nanny after high school for a family of 5 children.
Her dream was always to be a mom herself and in 2013, she gave birth to her first of 4 boys! During that pregnancy is when she learned about birth doulas and became very interested in all things pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. After working for the last 10 years in her church’s Mother’s Day Out program while her children were attending, she is excited to now continue to use the passion she has for children through providing postpartum care for mothers and their families utilizing her training received through Harbor Birth Institute.
When she is not serving other families, Stacey homeschools her 4 boys; Embry 12, Holden 10, Walker 7, and Canaan 6. She serves at her church in various capacities like volunteering for children’s activities, teaching class, and leading the Mom’s Night Out ministry. When not at home or church you can find her and her family at one of the many sporting leagues her boys are involved in between local recreational baseball, travel soccer and baseball, and the homeschool basketball league where her oldest plays.
