Valerie has loved all things pregnancy and childbirth since welcoming her first child. Her passion for birth work grew as she supported family and friends through their own birth experiences. She loves walking alongside women and their families, ensuring they feel empowered and fully informed about their choices in pregnancy and labor. She considers it a true honor to be invited into a family’s birthing space.

In 2017, Valerie certified as a birth doula and began attending births professionally. She joined Nashville Doula Services team in 2019 and has loved the partnership, connection, and support that come with working alongside other dedicated doulas.

Valerie and her husband have been married for 22 years and have 10 children together and the grand babies keep on coming. They’ve spent the last decade serving their church community in Lebanon, Tennessee. Alongside her wide range of birth experiences with clients, Valerie brings valuable insight from her own pregnancies and deliveries, including premature birth, NICU stays, and both hospital and home births.

When she’s not supporting families, Valerie enjoys reading, running, and spending time homeschooling her children. In recent years she has loved traveling more and planning and taking trips to Disney World.
