Valerie has had a love for all things pregnancy and childbirth since the birth of her first child. Her passion only grew as she attended births with family and friends. She loves supporting women and their families making sure they feel empowered and know that they have choices in pregnancy and labor. She considers it a great honor to be invited into a family’s birthing space. Valerie certified as a birth doula in 2017 and began attending births professionally. She joined the team at Nashville Doula Services in 2019 and has loved the partnership and support that working with an agency provides.

Valerie and her husband Kevin have been married for 21 years, have 10 children, and have enjoyed serving their church in Lebanon together over the past 10 years. Along with a wide range of experience with her birth clients, Valerie brings even more experience to her work as a doula with her own pregnancies and deliveries. She has experience with premature birth, NICU stays, hospital and home births.

Valerie enjoys reading, running, and spending time homeschooling her children.
